Who we are:
We are the About Face Youth Theatre group! We are a playful, friendly, relaxed, and welcoming group of young, creative people. We meet weekly on Wednesdays at the Courtyard Theatre, Hereford.
What we do:
We play drama games, act, role-play, dance, sing, make music, and have a lot of fun! We're very creative and also design and make props, set and costumes.
Who is the group for:
The group is open to young adults aged 18-29, with learning or physical disabilities.
You don't have to be super confident or a 'natural' performer. You just need an interest in theatre and a willingness to try new things.
How could this help you?
Develop theatre and life skills, learn and practice work skills through drama, grow in confidence, express yourself in different ways, have fun and form new friendships - we're a very sociable and supportive group.
We're health-conscious and support one another to be healthy, not only being active in our sessions but also enjoying break times together outside and eating well.
Whilst some group members love the energetic parts of the sessions, others find the group calming. This is a place where you can really be yourself.
